US Marshalls Search for Abductor Print

Eitan Ariel Blasingame is a victim... Eitan was apparently abducted by his father Michael in March of 2008.  Diana Huyng, Eitan's mother, had joint custody and when Michael failed to return Eitan after a visitation she was forced to seek help from local law enforcement in Plano, TX as well as the courts.   When Michael refused to show up for the hearing the court granted sole custody to Diana and ordered that Eitan be returned.  However, Michael was Eitan Blasingamealready on the run with his 3-yr old son being dragged along. 

Since that time he has been tracked to Mexico, then Germany, as well as Yemen, Ethiopia, and was last seen in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  He is now believed to be in Thailand or Malaysia.  US Marshals, along with CRN Volunteer Investigator Philip Klein with Klein Investigations are actively searching for Michael and little Eitan on two federal warrants including International Parental Kidnapping and Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution.  Michael is also wanted in Texas for interference with a child custody order.  Michael's mother, Renee, was arrested Friday (7/2) at her home in Lafayette, LA and charged with Interference of a Custody OrderBlasingame Arrested as Marshals believe she was providing aid to the abductor.

This case is just one example of what amounts to hundreds of children kidnapped and taken to other countries.  Child Rescue Network supports the efforts of investigators, the US Marshals, and State Dept. for their efforts in bring this fugitive to justice and return Eitan to his loving mother.
