In 1972, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Senator Robert Taft, Jr., and Sam Beard founded the American Institute for Public Service to establish a Nobel Prize for public and community service... the Jefferson Award.  This "Who's Who" of outstanding Americans is presented to those individuals who are truly unsung heroes...  Individuals who give their time and talents to organizations and causes around the country.

On May 20, 2010, Child Rescue Network President, Jeff Griesemer, presented this prestigous award to John Ward.  John is the President of BusinessWorks, a business consulting firm that helps companies and business leaders reach their full potential.  For the past 4 years, John has served, first on the CRN Advisory Board and then the Executive Board of Directors.  He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. 

John's expertise has proven to be of incredible value to Child Rescue Network as he has helped in strategic planning and guiding the organization to help maximize our impact on families throughout Central Florida and beyond.  John is the epitome of of a volunteer who truly understands giving back to the community and we are thrilled to be able to bestow this prestigous award to recognize his years of service to our organization.
