Every day over 200 children are abducted in the United States! Over 150 of those children are abducted by a family member, usually a non-custodial parent. A lot of people hear about a parental abduction and think, "Well, they're with a parent, how bad can it be". The reality is these children are being victimized and the scars last a lifetime. There is a reason these children are not supposed to be with the abducting parent. These child do not go to school, receive medical attention, or develop socially. They are forced to be "on the run", they are lied to about family and friends, many times told the other parent is dead! On average, 33 children are abducted by non-family members every singe day! Most are sexually assualted before they get away or are released. Imagine a bus load of kids abducted and victimized every day.
Fortunately most missing children are located and rescued relatively quickly, however many cases go on for weeks, months, and even years. Child Rescue Network works with law enforcement agencies world wide to help in the search efforts to bring these children home. Our network of licensed professional volunteer investigators assist wherever possible and our other volunteers frequently help in distributing posters of our missing children. One in six missing kids is found because someone sees a picture and gets involved. Since 2007, CRN has distributed over 100,000 posters of missing kids in over 20 states and 3 countries. To date 44 of the children we have featured have been rescued and reunited with their searching families!
