“Empowerment Not Fear” is about just that… It is our goal to eliminate the message of stranger danger, which is flawed in every aspect. First and foremost is the fact that 93% of victimized children know their abuser! Now we absolutely know the predator in the park scenario does happen, but a child is over 9 times more likely to be assaulted by someone he or she knows and often trusts and even loves. Plus this type of scare tactic can cause a child to be shy and much more introverted and can actually make them and easier target!
Our programs are designed by experts to give kids the knowledge and skill sets to help them make the best decisions possible, whether they are dealing with a stranger or a familiar face.
- Child Rescue Network provides parents with materials and tools to help keep their children safe, including Safety ID Cards. Learn more….
